Game Recap: SL game #5 84-78 Portland. LOSS

The Sonics were trailing this game almost the entire way, by the 3rd quarter with about 7:00 left I checked on the game and saw they were losing by double-digits, that was the last time I checked. Maybe I should have checked more because apparently they took the lead in the 4th quarter thanks to their two first round draft picks, Kevin Durant and Jeff Green. Alas, it wasn't enough as the Trail Blazers scored 7 of the last 9 points to win by a score of 84-78.

Star of the game: Jeff Green. The overall #5 draft pick scored a game high 32 points and grabbed a game high 13 rebounds-10 of them on offense-he also had two steals
Goat of the game: Mouhamed Sene. Last years first round pick only grabbed two rebounds and only scored two points.

Summer League Game #5: Seattle Vs. Portland.

The Supes are 0-4 so far in the Summer League while Portland is 1-3. In their last game though Kevin Durant broke out of a mini slump, scoring 32 points in the Sonics' 85-74 loss to the Golden State Warriors. This game would have featured the first matchup of the top two picks in this year's draft but Portland's Greg Oden was struck down in the Trail Blazers second Summer League game vs. Dallas with Tonsillitis. This game is in Las Vegas and will start at 7 PM PDT.

Finally, last change. Also, news roundup!

Okay guys, I swear to god that this will be the last change I'll make to this blog. Anyways to catch up on news on the Sonics. Let's see, they drafted Durant and traded Ray Allen and their second, second round pick (#35) for a forward, a guard and the overall #5 pick in the draft (Jeff Green), also that day they traded their first second round pick to Houston for a second round pick. Recently, they completed a sign-and-trade, signing then trading F Rashard Lewis to Orlando for another future second round pick.
